A monster leg of 105 nm, where we depart from France, have lunch in Belgium and sleep in the Netherlands.

We get up early and quickly hoist the sails. It gets a bit exciting when we're so far out that we can't see land, and the depth gauge shows 4-5 meters! That's what happens with sandbanks.

On our way there is wind farm after wind farm. We are also called by one of them on VHF, as they want to make sure we don't drive straight into them!

We want to have visited Belgium on our trip, and therefore choose to go into Zeebrugge to have lunch and refuel with diesel. Most things are closed, but we find a restaurant on top of an office building. It quickly turns out that this is a very good choice, and we get, among other things, the most amazing meat we have eaten in a long time.

At three o'clock we end our visit and continue on our way north.

We enter Dutch waters and have some exciting crossings of the shipping lanes to Rotterdam, among others. In addition, we enjoy the sun and get a fantastic sunset.

It has become dark when we enter the guest harbor in Scheveningen, and the harbor is crowded with boats. Fortunately, the harbor is well lit, and we lie down on the outside of another boat.

In total, we've been on the road for 16.5 hours including lunch, and covered another 100 nm - it'll be good to get a few hours of sleep now!

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
