We are testing Brest while we wait to get the boat fixed.

The day of departure for Frederick, who takes the train to Paris and flies from there back to Oslo. After breakfast we go together to the station and wave him goodbye.

We take a walk in the city center where we do some shopping. Olivia finds, among other things, "the world's best toy store - even better than Thomas toys!" We also manage to take a ride on the funicular to see the only remaining street after the war. Not a great experience so we go for lunch instead.

Finally someone comes to look at the boat, and we hope and believe the fault has been found as he finds out that the charger is connected incorrectly! Ida and the young people go shopping so we can go on tomorrow, and the Skipper gets a tarpaulin made to cover the cockpit when it rains.

The next morning there is great excitement whether the thruster works - but no way! If it turns out that there are more errors, then we have to stay another night. We go shopping in the city and of course find something to buy. But tomorrow we leave anyway!

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
