We arrive in Dunkirk after 44 nm with very heavy traffic!

Great sailing north from early morning. We are now passing the narrowest point in the English Channel, and it is noticeable when we meet the shipping traffic outside Calais and beyond. There will be some exciting encounters with various "Danish boats".

We can also clearly see the White Cliffs of Dover on our way, a road that also contains huge wind farms.

Finally we have arrived in Dunkirk, something that at least the Skipper has been looking forward to. We quickly leave and visit the museum in memory of Operation Dynamo, the retreat in 1940 across the Channel. An incredible story, and not least important in relation to the further course of the war. Over 400,000 Allied soldiers were rescued during this operation.

There will also be time for some beach fun and ice cream in the nice weather.

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
