It's finally the day we'll take the boat out of the harbor to test if everything works.

Finally out for a test sail with the boat. We have to wait until the tide is right before we can go out through the lock, but we are ready at 10:00. On the way out we also take a turn through the towers and visit the inner harbor of La Rochelle.

There's not much wind, but we get to hoist and test all the sails. And last but not least, finally get behind the helm.

Getting a new place in Les Minimes so we don't have to worry about tides when we move on. This is a huge harbor with over 5,000 boats!

We refuel, fix the anchor, and buy food. Olivia washes down the boat, and we are ready to start the trip north tomorrow.

Closing dinner at the "Natt tøy" restaurant. Characterized by good food, waiters in nightgowns, and various nightgowns hanging from the ceiling!

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
