Departure from the buoy on Snarøya is planned for June 22, 2025.

Ida and I are thinking of taking the first stages ourselves, and meeting Olivia when we get to Scotland. That way she will avoid the North Sea, which can be a tough voyage.

There will be a couple of stops on the Norwegian coast, where stop 2 is planned to be Kristiansand and visit Arne Gunnar with his family. Whether there will be another stop before we cross the North Sea will also be a bit weather dependent, as we want the best possible weather when we cross the North Sea. We will also be focusing on getting extra crew on the crossing.

In Scotland we arrive in Inverness, and continue from there into the Caledonian Canal. Here a couple of friends with children will also join us on the trip through the canal.

After the channel it is out into the Irish Sea with various stops in Northern Ireland, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Wales and England, before we cross the English Channel to France.

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
