After 30 nm we finally end up in Port Tudy on Île de Groix.

Finally we move further north. Agreed to get parts for trusts further north, so we take the chance and go. Brilliant sun, but as usual headwind.

We need fuel, but the tank in Le Crouesty is empty, so we head back to Port Haliguen. Here it turns out that the water is too low for us to get to the pumps to fill up! There's only one thing to do, we take the dinghy and carry gas cans back and forth!

The course is set for Île de Groix. It will be a beautiful sail in the nice weather, and several of the crew discover that it is not so smart to fall asleep in the sun without sunscreen! We will also be visited by several dolphins on our way.

Once there, we decide to anchor at a fantastic beach, but when we arrive and are about to anchor, of course the anchor winch doesn't work!!

Just find the nearest harbor and head to Port Tudy instead. Must be anchored to buoys front and back, although challenging to moor without thrusters, with crosswinds and lots of boats!!

The place seems very cozy, and after Herman has cooked dinner for us, we take a walk on land. Finally, we dock in Le Bourg, which is the island's "center," where we visit a cafe.

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
