Out from Sogndalstrand in somewhat cloudy weather, but good winds. Arrive at Ydstebøhavn after 60 nm.

Everyone is in good shape after yesterday, which should prove to be a good thing. The wind is blowing well out there, but luckily we have the wind slanting from behind.

It's really going away, and the guys really get to try sailing in some sea. Going like a train north, until suddenly it goes bang and Code 0 is in the water - the halyard has blown!

Fortunately, we have a strong crew, who eventually manage to pull the sail aboard while I make sure it doesn't get under the boat. It takes a bit of pulling up a 90 sq m sail that is filled with water!

We eventually arrive at our port for the night - Ydstebøhavn. We'll have a short walk on land before we all turn in quite early.

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
