We take our first stretch heading north from Les Minimes to Saint Martin de Re. A distance of 13 nm. in sea view.

We 're underway! Brilliant weather and sea views all the way.

It will be extra exciting when we go under the bridge to Ill-de-Re, but we finally dare! (The bridge is actually 30 meters high, but feels much lower as we approach!!)

St. Martin de Re is a wonderfully cozy place that was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008. The harbor itself is only accessible for a few hours during the day due to the tide.

Once moored, we take a walk around town. Enjoy some cold drinks and do some shopping, getting new things for both mother and daughter!

We get a neighboring boat that invites us for an Aperitif in the afternoon. A very nice French couple, where only the wife speaks English! - but it works out. Gets lots of tips on which places we should stop by on the way north.

The evening is lovely and we take a walk, ending with even more delicious seafood and crepes.

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
