We'll be meeting the guys soon, so we have to move on! Next stop is Port du Palais on Belle Île - 50 nm.

We go out at five in the morning to catch the tide. We get a little surprise when we go out at dusk, the thruster doesn't work anymore! But we get out safely and get a great sunrise along the way, but unfortunately headwind and head sea again. We have a quick encounter with some dolphins and Olivia unfortunately gets seasick again.

But then suddenly an alarm sounds - the boat is taking on water!! The skipper gets down, tastes the water which is salty!, and starts scooping while Ida calls the rescue service on the VHF.

If a while passes without us seeing the water receding, they ask us to come and assist. But when they arrive, the water has stabilized, and we motor to the nearest port, which is Port du Palais on Belle Île.

Eventually gets a place after waiting for the ferry, but has to stay in place without access to land directly from the boat.

We get another surprise when we're cleaning up the guys' cabin - everything is soaking wet with salt water. We find out that the water is coming from above, so luckily there's no danger of sinking, but now we have to find out where the leak is coming from!

The guys have arrived on the mainland, and are staying at a hotel until the next day, and we finally get to bed - completely exhausted!

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
