We arrive at one of our favorite places

The skipper, of course, wakes up early in the morning. Raises anchor 1/2 5 and motorizes in the direction of Käringön on completely flat water.


We choose the inner route when coming to Sota Kanalen. Always nice to glide past familiar and beloved places like Smögen and Gullholmen.


When we arrive at Käringön the sun is shining brightly from a clear sky. We find out that we will be anchored and lie down in the bay. We go ashore with a little shopping in the Sail Racing store and soak up the atmosphere - few places are so cozy!


Back in the boat, the anchor comes loose, and we have to find a new anchor on the rocky bottom - lucky we were on board! Make a couple of attempts, and then the anchor sits tight - now it will be exciting if we can get it loose tomorrow?


We were there early and got a table reserved at Peterson Krog. It never goes wrong, and this time we were not disappointed either. Oysters, Løyrom, Gratined mussels, Cod back and dessert go down a treat with good wine and pleasant company.


There are two very happy sailors going to bed for the night!

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
