The skipper is finally at the helm!
The skipper is finally at the helm!

DAY 1

We fill up our bags with equipment and fly to Bergen. The only mistake is that the Skipper has also packed some gas canisters - This means that Ida is called to the "carpet" at the airport, but it's all sorted!

Great excitement when we arrive at the pier - what does the boat actually look like?? But all anxiety aside - the boat looks really good in every way. We start unpacking and have a few trips into town to shop. It's a long time but we get what we need.

DAY 2

After a late night of card games, Skipper wakes up early. It turns out that Herman has forgotten to close the window completely, so the mattress and more are soaking wet - boring but can be fixed - lesson learned!

Heading out for our first test ride in the afternoon. Only hoisting the genoa, but finally getting the feeling of holding the steering wheel of your own boat!

DAY 3

Rain, rain, rain, but the Skipper gets the chartplotter connected! Ending our stay in Bergen with dinner at Egon!!

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
