After a lovely stay in Saint Martin de Re we have to move on. The trip goes to Les Sables-d´Olonne, a distance of 25 nm. With some wind forecast, it will be exciting.

The lock doesn't open until 12:30 so we enjoy the morning and afternoon in St. Martin with some fixing and breakfast outside.

It's blowing up to a slight gale in the gales out there, right in our face. So we'll be pounding against the sea with the engine for five hours!

Les Sables - d'Olonne is also the start and stop for the "Vendée Globe". It's extra fun when we enter the harbor and see the pier where several of the boats are moored.

We have a quiet afternoon with dinner on the boat, the finale "Summer Cabin" and a short evening trip ashore with Crepe for dinner.

Great ending to the evening when Ida finds out that a bird has pooped through the skylight!!

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
