Early out and a fantastic nature experience on the 27 nm to Camaret sur-Mer

We go out at six in the morning while the young crew is sleeping.

It will be a great trip up along a mighty coast, lots of current with us, and a fierce round of La Vieille ("The Old Lady" or "The Wrass"), the lighthouse within Ile de Sein. Incredibly fascinating to see and feel the currents that occur in such places.

This also marks the end of Biscay and the start of the Celtic Sea. Smooth sailing for the last stretch with Code 0.

When we arrive in Camaret sur-Mer there is a lot of space, and we enjoy life longside.

We eventually take a walk into the city center. Lots of exciting things to see on our way, from old fortresses, ancient churches, abandoned fishing boats that have just been driven ashore, boats on "stilts" and more. The city is also an artistic place, and when we walk the streets one work of art after another appears. We also visit a gallery that has an incredibly cool object painted on a plank. But with that price and that size, Ida is quick to say no to our wild ideas about buying to have on the boat!!

We also get some food at a sidewalk restaurant before returning to the boat.

In the evening we take Olivia to the beach right next to the boat. A tough competition between mother and daughter to create the best sand art. It's a tie, so the judge decides to award two prizes.

We like Camaret sur-Mer!

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
