Completion of 60 nm in sea tin!


Last day for this time! Completely silent the whole way, only the engine. We manage without any rain and are received by Ida in Vollen.


An incredible adventure has come to an end for now! Traveled 1,520 nm in 43 days, a total of 208 hours under sail, visited 7 countries and 32 ports. Sailed Biscay, Celtic Sea, English Channel, North Sea, Kiel Canal, Baltic Sea and Skagerak.


Learned about tides, currents, locks, night sailing, crossing shipping lanes both during the day and at night.


We experienced some drama, but overall everything has gone smoothly, and we have solved all challenges together as a team.


The trip has given us so much experience, cultures, exciting places, challenges, but most of all - a sense of accomplishment and pride in everything we have accomplished together.


Vue Mer has given us everything we could wish for +++, and we look forward to the next adventure!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
