Finally, we will head down to Vue Mer to begin our journey north.

After many months of waiting for the finished boat, several trips by car down to La Rochelle with equipment, various purchases and planning, the time is finally here where we will start the journey home with the new "Vue Mer".

An exciting journey with a brand new boat and lots of new challenges. Sailing Biscay, the English Channel, the North Sea, the Kiel Canal, the Baltic Sea and the Skagerak, tides, currents!

The list is long but we feel well prepared. An extra sense of security is that both guys will be on board for much of the journey.

Early morning flight to Paris, taxi to the train station, put our luggage in the locker and head out for lunch at the "Bamserestauranten." Everything goes smoothly and painlessly, until we get on the train - then we notice how much luggage we have with us!! But we get on the train sweaty and hot, and arrive in La Rochelle at half past eight in the evening. Incredibly good feeling to finally come "home". Lay out pillows, fix cabins and have a small snack before we go to bed for the first night!

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
