Trip to Roscoff - 33 nm in great weather, light wind but some sea.

The wind has died down and we can move on. It's lovely weather but there are quite a few waves when we sail, which means the two youngest are a bit out of shape! Navigating along the coast is also somewhat challenging, but I never cease to be impressed by how good the chartplotters have become.

Gradually we turn more inward into the English Channel, and get a great wind from behind. We turn off the engine and sail at 8-9 knots almost all the way.

In Port Bloscon we get a nice longside berth when we arrive. It is a very new and beautiful marina, with all the facilities. Even its own boat equipment shop!!

In the afternoon we take a walk into Roskoff town. Very cozy little town with lots to see and lots of people. Clearly this is a popular tourist town, with a funfair and other tourist traps. Olivia of course has to visit the funfair to see if she can win something!

It's the last night for Linh, so we have a delicious closing dinner - of course at the restaurant "Vue sur Mer."

Hello,

Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, our names are Ida and Anders.

This is the story of how we, with completely different backgrounds and experiences from sea life, work together towards our great goal.

This page tries to collect our experiences at sea as a family. From the humble beginnings of renting a boat in Croatia, our first own boat, Step by Step, to our new boat, Vue Mer II.

The goal is for the family to embark on a sailing trip on the seven seas within a few years.
