A gloomy morning with lots of rain. It's France's National Day, but all events in L'Aber Wrac'h are cancelled. The forecast is for winds around 17 m/s and gusts up to 23 m/s, it's a storm! So we find the calm in the harbor and start exploring the island.
Starting by walking up to Landéda in the rain, what we forgot was that everything is closed due to National Day, so we just have to move down to the pier again.
Find a place that serves food, and find out that the time is good for lunch. Turns out this place is in the Michelin Guide! We are five "wet cats", but get a table to ourselves. It turns out to be a fantastic lunch with oysters, lobster and other goodies - this is also reflected in the bill when we leave, but definitely worth it!
On the pier, the local rescue company has a large stand selling various products to raise money for them. We finally get our hands on matching crew shirts!
In the evening the sun comes out, and we take a long evening walk out to Fort Cézon. It will be a great trip with many experiences, and a beautiful sunset on the way home.
